Introducing Our Very Own House League, Where The Next Generation Of Young Hooper Learn To Play

The Greenlight G-League is a beginner-friendly house basketball league designed to introduce boys & girls ages 5-12yrs to organized basketball in a fun, supportive, and development-focused environment. Our goal is to help athletes build confidence, learn the fundamentals of the game, and develop a love for basketball.

The G-League is ideal for players who are new to the sport or looking for more opportunities to learn and play. Through structured skill development and organized games, athletes are guided by experienced coaches who focus on teaching the basics, encouraging teamwork, and creating a positive first experience in organized basketball.

At Greenlight, we believe every player’s journey starts with the right foundation, and the G-League is the perfect place to begin.

The G-League Approach

Every session in the Greenlight G-League is designed to help young players build a strong basketball foundation. We believe the best way for athletes to develop is through organized gameplay that provides real-game experience in a positive and competitive environment.

In every G-League game, all players are guaranteed meaningful playing time. To maximize development, full-court presses are not permitted, and strict man-to-man defensive rules are enforced. These guidelines ensure that every player has the opportunity to learn and strengthen the fundamentals of the game.

Each team is assigned a dedicated head coach for the season who will guide, teach, and support players through the challenges and successes of competition. Throughout the season, league standings and updates will be posted on our Instagram page, @greenlightgleague.

Our goal is to create an environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, foster teamwork, and most importantly, enjoy the game through meaningful competition.

  • Futures Division (5-8yrs)

    July 3rd - August 14th

    Every Friday: Games Start at 5pm or 6pm Depending on Team. On First Session, Placement Day, please arrive at 5pm

    (Schedule will be Emailed at least on week in advance)

    Session Duration: Each Session will be approximately 1hr
    Including Warmup, Game Time, etc.

    Location: Hastings Community Centre

    7 Game Season

    Reversible Uniform Included

    Early Bird Price: $135+GST

  • Hoopers Division (9-12yrs)

    July 3rd - August 14th
